- Border enforcement.
- Citizenship requests as an external-affairs/entry function.
- Immigration policy and security operations.
- External-security operations.
- Monitoring foreign threats and conditions affecting the NSSI.
Institutional Relationship
The Port Authority handles logistical processing of immigration applications and visitor entries; Exterior retains the broader security, policy, and external-affairs responsibility.
