  • Citizenship requests as an external-affairs/entry function.
  • Immigration policy and security operations.
  • External-security operations.
  • Monitoring foreign threats and conditions affecting the NSSI.

Institutional Relationship

The Port Authority handles logistical processing of immigration applications and visitor entries; Exterior retains the broader security, policy, and external-affairs responsibility.
