Constitutional Local Government
Local governance is exercised through a Community Council in each recognized Community. These councils are part of the constitutional government of Northudankton, distinct from Counties and Regions, which do not receive equivalent independent governing authority in the supplied law.
Local Institutions
Relationship to National Government
- Community Councils exercise local governance in recognized Communities.
- Mayors oversee local governance and report conditions, needs, and concerns to the national People’s Council.
- The national People’s Council remains the supreme organ of state power and retains authority under the Constitution and law.
- Regions are geographic/administrative designations and are expressly defined as lacking independent governing authority.
